About Us
Founded in 1973 by George Stewart, Florida Detention Systems, Inc. has become a major detention equipment contractor in the Southeast. In 1982, the company became incorporated under the name of American Fence Company. In 1990, the company changed its name to Hailee Systems, Inc. Between 1990 and 2000, Hailee Systems, Inc. completed over 50 large government fence contracts. Then in the year 2000, our company once again changed it’s name to Florida Detention Systems, Inc.

In addition to selling a wide array of products, Florida Detention Systems, Inc. also consults and provides training directly to the State of Florida Department of Corrections.
